The Alternative Energy Team

Jeremy and Gabe have known each other since grade school and have worked together at Alternative Energy since 2001. During that time, they worked their way up through each position and into management. In 2007 it was decided to become partners as the next generation of leadership at Alternative Energy. This partnership between Jeremy and Gabe came at the start of an ugly market. With their ingenuity, motivation and quick execution they were able to not only survive but become vastly more efficient and profitable during the most difficult downturn in our industry’s history. Jeremy and Gabe grew up in the same small town. Going to some of the same schools, having the same hobbies and working together for so long, they have found that their personalities, while vastly different, work great together making for a powerful partnership geared for success.

Alternative Energy turned over complete control to this partnership between Jeremy and Gabe and retired Steve Haycock (original founding CEO) in the fall of 2013, in effect turning the page to the next chapter of Alternative Energy.

Russell Nystrom

Our Service Manager is a wizard.  There isn’t a hydronic radiant system out there that Russell can’t repair.  His unique sense of loyalty to Alternative Energy and to our clients works hand in hand with his sincerity and calm composure.

When he’s not helping maintain our clients’ heating systems, you’ll find Russell getting black and blue doing mixed martial arts, taking the road less traveled, backpacking the Sierras, tickling the ivory on his piano, or catching air snow skiing.

Austin Brock
Project Manager
Member of the Alternative Energy family since 2008

Austin may be among the best installers, but he’s also a team player, helping in the service department whenever needed.  His positive attitude is infectious and his drive to get any job done has been a game changer for Alternative Energy.  Austin has stepped in to the leadership role with finesse and a smile.

Austin likes spending time with his family and 4-wheeling with the guys.

Sergio Huizar

Alternative Energy has been blessed to call Sergio one of our own.  Sergio is hard working, positive, self-motivated, and adept.  His knowledge of our hydronic radiant systems and his relationships with our contractors keep us successful.

Sergio looks forward to traveling to fun places with his wife and children, watching movies, rooting for his favorite sports teams, and keeping himself sharp with puzzles.

Cody Brock
Lead Estimator
Member of the Alternative Energy family since 2010

Cody is a strong asset for the company.  Starting out in our shop, overseeing our fleet and inventory, Cody worked his way up to being our lead estimator.  He is a computer whiz and stays up to date on the latest industry products.  Understanding the variety of hydronic radiant system needs and their applications throughout Central California is something Cody prides himself on.

Cody spends his time off 4-wheeling and camping with his family.

Marianne Ringen
Accounts Manager
Member of the Alternative Energy family since 2014

Marianne came to this position after retiring from a lengthy career as a financial advisor and owning an accounting business.   With her attention to detail and positive personality, she is an integral part of the team.

Marianne and her husband Tod enjoy family time with their 3 sons & daughters-in law and 8 grandchildren.  They spend time traveling and are very active in their church.

Shelly Wyatt
Operations Administrator

Shelly came to Alternative Energy as a 10 year licensed insurance agent.  Her customer service background and willingness to learn made her a perfect fit.

Shelly spends her time off traveling, camping, cooking, and snorkeling.  Her favorite vacation spot is Kauai.
